Helping our community come together through local business partnerships to help ensure more people have access to the food they need.

Table for Tomorrow: Nourishing hope for generations to come.
We introduced Table for Tomorrow to the community in June 2026 as a planned giving initiative rooted in our belief that food is a basic human right. Through Table for Tomorrow, supporters can help ensure the Food Bank's mission continues for generations to come. This initiative honors individuals who choose to include the Northeast Iowa Food Bank in their future plans through a planned gift.
These thoughtful gifts help strengthen the future of our work and ensure we can continue responding to hunger across northeast Iowa for years to come. By participating in Table for Tomorrow, you become part of a special group of supporters who are planning ahead with purpose and care. Your future gift can help provide long-term support for food distribution, future program growth, facility needs, and organizational sustainability.
If you have already included the Northeast Iowa Food Bank in your plans, or if you would like to learn more, we would be honored to talk with you. Please email Abby Turpin, Director of Development, Marketing, and Communications, at aturpin@neifb.org or call Abby directly at (319) 304-9051.
Plates for a Purpose is a community initiative launched in March 2026 that partners with local restaurants to help fight food insecurity across our 16-county service area. During March, April, and May, customers at participating locations will see table and menu materials inviting them to take a simple step to support children, families, and seniors who may not know where their next meal will come from. In recognition of their partnership, participating restaurants receive a social media post and logo placement on the Food Bank’s website.
If you’re a customer, we hope you’ll consider making a gift while you’re out enjoying a meal, because not everyone can afford to do the same.
Restaurants within our 16-county service area interested in joining Plates for a Purpose can contact Abby Turpin, Director of Development, Marketing, and Communications, at aturpin@neifb.org, or Megan Beaman, Donor Relations Manager, at mbeaman@neifb.org.

We launched Driving Out Hunger in December 2025 as a cause marketing initiative that partners with local auto dealerships to help fight food insecurity during the holiday season. Participating dealerships pledge a portion of oil change proceeds throughout the month of December, inviting customers to turn a routine service appointment into support for those facing hunger across our 16-county service area. Driving Out Hunger offers a simple way for local businesses and customers to come together in support of the NEIFB’s mission during a very busy time of year.

We introduced Team NEIFB in March 2024 to grow monthly support from community members and to remind our region that it takes a true team effort to help feed people facing food insecurity across our 16-county service area. For just $16 a month, you become part of a collective group of supporters who help sustain the Northeast Iowa Food Bank’s mission and serve children, families, and seniors throughout the year.
Monthly giving helps us plan ahead and keep food moving to local partners and programs all year long.
